ECAV worship

Lutheran church in our city organized a weekend of purpose and vision for their ministry. I had got an invitation to come and speak about worship. We looked at some theory but most of it was very practical as how to prepare the next meeting with worship incorporated. We saw that they needed to work on the ways how to involve their young people. This was a great honour for me to serve at their planning meeting.

Visiting Rumbolds

I took 3 days vacation and our whole family went to the far east of our country 4 and half hours away. Bardejov is the city where our new missionary family Ed and Wendy Rumbolds moved their whole family from US to serve in local a Lutheran church in Slovakia. It was great time we had spend with them. Our kids played with their 5 children. We cooked and ate together. We learned Slovak language together. We jumped on the trampoline. It was fun. We love spending time with them. And they are an example of courage and faith for us. I have learned how much they live the principal of the old testament where Jews has been encouraged numerous times to teach their children the principals of Gods word all the time and all the places. It is just when there is little disobedience or attitude Ed or Wendy would immediately identify and put it in to the light of Gods word. Yes that was very inspiring. At one moment I have had wooden spoon in my hand as a tool of helping with the obedience and I had realized that before I would use it I would point to the truth of the Word of God first.

Our Church

A year ago I asked the leadership to free me up from the eldership of our church and it has been a good decision as I see it so far. Mainly that Zuzka and I get to be more involved even together. I am more free to be involved in other church activities like Sunday school which I really love to teach kids but also to teach bible study at our small group. I have also had few attempts to write new songs but I have had only a few musical ideas but no a song yet.

Johanka`s Birthday

We celebrated Johankas 5^th birthday on February 15th. She is growing. She made the list of people that she wanted to invite. We had to erase some of the names because it would be a very big party. We rented Café and decorated it and prepared a lots of games. It just happened that I had all mine and Zuzkas siblings were able to join us. It was great reunion and great party time when we could just celebrate the gift of life and enjoy each other.

Call for help

My cousin Slavo and his wife Martina are pastors of a smaller church in Banska Bystrica, which is a city hour and half from us. They have been asking us to move and help them.for over 10 months now. There is this constant call for help that stirs my heart and mind. They need help with leading youth group or start teenager group and also in other areas in the church. They also have run a Christian school for almost 5 years. They really need somebody to help them reach out both to the students and to their parents. This is an unique opportunity, since they have all these students and parents there for 9 years. They keep inviting us and we love to visit them and spent time with them. Last week I went there to visit a concert of worship and prayers with one of my desciple who played drums that night. It was great to see how God is working among the CHURCH of that city. That night I spent with Slavo talking and praying till midnight. In the morning I walked around the city and prayed about this decision. Please pray with us in this direction. I really want to be obedient to God for the next step. My desire is that we could be sent by the organization I have been serving. I want continue to be a part of Kompas.
I have opened this already at our staff meetings and there is not yet clear YES or NO.
This certainly opens a lot of questions. I have not led a junior or senior high for almost 6 years and I feel like this is what God is leading us to. As a mentor of youth leaders I should have my hands on it myslef.
