Today is our First FUSION concert

We hope that today through the concert we will see new students come to start being part of FUSION, also that some parents will come and officially agree with their children coming to FUSION. We also pray that those who have been coming for last 5 times will become the core of FUSION for coming months. We also pray that GODs Spirit will work tonight and that through FUSION there would be changed lives for eternity. Thank you for standing with us and supporting FUSION through the prayers and financies.

We had our First FUSION concert.

The first Fusion concert was tonight!  It was fun to see the students really getting into the performance. Technically it was not the best performance, but it was enjoyable to everyone involved and to those watching.  The students really did a great job.  We had a couple solo singers a drama and even a song done by two guys who write their own music.  It was also surprising to have as many people come to the concert as we did.  We had probably 40 people for the first concert!

The fifth times a charm!

As we finish our fifth Fusion Rehearsal we wait in anticipation for next Wednesday when we will have our first Fusion Concert!!!  The students seemed very energetic tonight and really got into the motions of the songs.  We even had a couple new students.  The biggest problem for us right now is sickness and lots of homework and studying before exams. We still have somethings to prepare for the concert and hope that you will be praying with us that everything will go well and many parents will come!

We also had an event outside of Fusion Rehearsals.  We went to Europa the mall in town with 9 of the students and filmed a video for fun.  It was a great time to spend with the students and will be a fun thing to watch next week on the concert.

Fusion 4 - we are in the battle...

Can you believe we have been having Fusion for a month now?  It is true.  We finished the fourth Fusion last nigh.  We had smaller numbers (19) but it was still a lot of fun.  We are preparing for the Christmas Concert and learned a third song tonight.   We are hoping to have four songs for the concert.  Two of the students were chosen to sing the solo parts for the concert and tried to sing today with the choir, they did quite a good job for their first time.  We are excited about the next few weeks and the upcoming concert.

And yes we are doing right thing because last nigh we have experienced quite strong spiritual opposition. 2 team members got ill, my Zuzka had to go home early because she got great headache and one of the students became very suspicious about what we are doing with them at the Fusion. That started from the moment he realized that this is part of what our church is doing even though we have been opened about it from begining. I have spend then 10 minutes asking him questions about that and assured him that Fusion is a platform where he can check christianity out from different angle and can ask questions, that he has to find for himself are we trustworthy people... and he was ok after our talk but not to sure he will come again. My heart got so broken for this young man. Enemy has him and he does not recognize it at all. So please pray.

What about ministry casualties?

After last Fusion next day in the morning I found broken mirror on the ground.
I have to say that I was angry and was asking God "are you not guarding your possesions?" I had to repent later because I reacted in anger and GOD gave me different kind of courage. I have prayied and announced to enemy that - I am sorry but GOD have called me here and I am not leaving from here. This is His terrytory and I am going to continue doing what He desires through Fusion. Amen.

Fusion 3

And now there’s three!  Tonight we had the third Fusion and things seem to be going strong still.  There are some exciting notable things from this week.  We still have  a good number of students at Fusion I think around 25-30.  We decided that we will have a Mini Christmas concert and are therefore gearing up for it now.  We will have a drama created by one of our students and a leader.  There were also 5 other students who wanted to do the drama!  Two of our leaders will be making a video on Saturday and have 6 students who want to be a part of it.  It is so exciting to see students already wanting to be connected outside of the normal Fusion meetings and we hope that the community is being built!

Last week Fusion 2

A week ago we had the second Fusion!   It was really great to see so many of the students come from the first week and even to see a couple new ones.   It is really a blessing that God is allowing us to be a part of here.  It seems that we now may have the core group of students who will be coming consistently.   As we progressed through the night we continued to learn the two songs that we began last week.  We also had the two boys who came last week with their guitars play and sing a song that they wrote for the whole group.  They were very nervous but really did a good job.   It is fun to see how excited the students are and we hope that they will continue to be excited, but will also connect with the community that we are creating.  I feel that God is very present there and that some of the students even seem open to spiritual things already.  Please continue to pray for us as a Fusion team that we will continue to grow together and will continually be prepared for each week.  Also please pray that the students will begin to experience God’s love more and more each week!

Amazin START.

We Finally had our first Fusion in Slovakia tonight!!!   It was amazing!!!   We spent the day visiting schools with Noah Ellenwood.  He is the son of a Josiah Venture Co-worker who was a contestant on Cesko-Slovensko Superstar which is like Amreican Idol.  God is really using him and his talent to reach young people.  God really used him today to help bring students to Fusion.  As we prepared for the evening we were wondering how many students we would have.  There was around 31 students who came for the first time!   This was amazing and it seems that many of them want to come again.   It is so amazing to have this happen after working and waiting for it for so long!  God’s timing is amazing!  The evening ran very smoothly and was a whole lot of fun!   Everyone was involved and singing. We even had some students who already play instruments and want to be a part of the band.  It is really unbelievable.

Enjoy some photos...

Fusion Promotion at school

We had our first opportunity to go into schools on Monday to promote Fusion.  We went to 10 classes total and had great responses from the students.  Most of them seemed interested in the idea of Fusion, but we did not have any confirmed yes’s which is normal for Slovakia.  We hope that many of these students will come to see Fusion for the first time and will want to continue to be a part of Fusion.  Later today we are going to try and go to the dorms of the youth and talk to more people about Fusion.

Start of FUSION - 16 th November

Fusion will officially begin on the 16th of November!  We will lead up to the initial rehearsal by visiting schools and inviting the youth.  We will also be trying to connect with students in the local mall and will have the help of Czech and Slovak star Noah Ellenwood.  This is exciting and will hopefully be a big draw for students to the first Fusion!  Please pray with us as we prepare for this initial Fusion.

Meeting at our House.

Tonight we had a meeting full of blessing.  The invitation was given to the church that whoever was interested in Fusion should come to the Poloha’s house for a meeting to think and strategize about the future for Fusion.  There was a great turn out of people and a tremendous amount of thoughts and ideas.   We truly feel blessed to have this group’s support and prayers as we continue to work with them! Please pray for the future strategy for the beginning of Fusion.
We rejoice also over the fact that the House is serving the purpose of us being in Banska Bystrica and having people in it.

Schools directors said NO to Fusion.

This has been the deciding day for Strategy A in Banska Bystrica.  We found out today one after another that the School Administrators are not on board with Fusion.  This is a hard thing to hear, but is also confirming to us that this part of the strategy is done and we can confidently move forward to the next idea without a feeling that we did not do enough before.  New ideas are popping up, but we will see where God will lead us!

Travels and meetings, this is what describes October 18th for us.

We spent the day traveling to Žilina and Bratislava and spent the day in meetings.  These were not normal meetings!  We had the opportunity to meet with Mark Chase (who’s family is raising support to move here).  We are excited about the prospect of the Chases moving here and working with us in Fusion!  The time spent today with Mark was a great time to get to know him better and to strategize about the future and the ministry he and his family can have here.   The travel to and from the meeting was also a good time for us (Josh and Draho) to spend together, talking and thinking about the future of Fusion.

Visiting City hall again.

Today three of us (Draho, Zuzka, and Josh) went to a meeting of the School administrators to promote Fusion to them.  We had only 5 minutes to share and were not able to use our power point presentation on the big screen, but I believe that God was present!  We were able to clearly explain Fusion and what we are doing.  As we were leaving we were told that they needed to discuss it with each other and would get back to us in a week.  Please be praying together with us that God will move in their hearts and that they will decide to send their students to the Fusion Concert in November!

Major of Banska Bystrica shook my hand.

Today I visited our Major and he officially wellcomed me in his city. The reason to visit Major was to introduce him the work of Fusion. We have explained what the Fusion will be about and we received his full support. Praise God. We believe that this visit has opened important doors to the city hall.
Today we also had our FUSION traing and I rejoice of so many people wants to get involved too.
Please pray for the first FUSION concert and rehersal on  28th. september.
Pray for 50 students to stay for the Fusion rehersals, pray for their salvation.
