Celebrating birthday...

This was great celebration. My sister Kati enjoy when we are together. We give thanks to God for providing for her job. We praise God for her life may God protect her on her paths. The Special person at this party was our Mother who came to visit us. We have not seen each other for long time around 2 years. Afterwards we went for bowling. It was fun. I guess we have never been doing such activity as sibilings ever.

Evening for married couples

Our church has organized very special time for our married couples. Its first this kind of meeting that we look forward to participate and invite our neighbours in the future. We have had Samo our pastor speaking about the difference between Desires and Expectations... Zuzka is member of the team that organize these meetings and tonight she contributed with a activity that revealed how much we as spouses or husbands know each other by anonymously written description about our "day off".

This is what I was reminded of.

- My desires often times changes in to selfish Expectations.

- Expectations communicate that I have right for that.

- Desires are mostly communicated in freedom and peace and Expectations are under preassure and anger.

- Put back your Expectation in to the form of Desires and give your spouse/husband freedom.

Romania trip

The Reason why we do such mission trip with our studenst is that we desire for them to see the need for mission, but also to discover for themselves the different concepts of european churches. Our school has desire not to be only theoretical but practical too. We observed how the church is being run but also lived. We also have had a lot of opportunities to work manually in their outreach projects. It was great time. You also have to go. Have you ever been to Romania? It is beautiful country with rich culture and people with warm hearts. Two weeks ago (from Thursday to Sunday) we spent in Arad. We went (27 people) with our students to visit church Metanoia.

We travelled in 4 cars all from different locations across our country and it took us 8 hours to get there. On our arrival we were warmly welcomed.

We met with Christi (main pastor) who gave us a big picture about their ministry. And Raul (youth ministry pastor) they presented the vision and the strategy of the church and youth ministry. It is amazing that they know where they want to be in one year... and they know how to get there and for all that they use Bible as the basics upon which they build whole their vison, mission and strategy. Really interesting for me was to see that not only pastors but also the people own this vision.

We also did come to help practicly... so we spend Friday and Saturday morning working in three places. First day boys went do demolish one old barn an girls went to clean house where this church run homeless children kindergarden...

The secon day we helped at Ghyoroc little new church plant comming out from Metanoia church. We where helping on thier little new building. It was great to see their passion for people, for God´s work. I stayed with this family who leads this church and what a privilege it was to experience the warmth and passion for God.

People in Metanoia church were so full of passion and excitment for God. I got really encouraged. The highlight of this trip for me was to see Christy Barbosu the main pastor how his face glows when speaks about Gods work. There is such a strong passion and calling upon his life that you can not miss it. That assurance of calling has sweet fruits that spreads all around the church and the city and the whole Romania. They are helping 6 new churches to start.

We also visited city of Timisoara and DU (one of the 3 girls who allways organize this trip for us) was guiding us through the city and explaining us all the background and presence.

It was blessing for us to be a part of this church for a little while. Thank you for your prayers!

Praise and Prayer

As I write Zuzka is speaking at our city college dorms. She was invited by intervarsity ministry to speak for girls. Zuzka is speaking on the topic: "Self-worth".
Please pray for her now.

I praise God for allowing me to speak at our church last sunday. I spoke on the topic> "Centurion's faith". Pray for our close friend who came last sunday to our church for the first time.

Tomorrow we take our 21 SPM students to mission trip to Romania/Arad. It is around 8 hours trip. Please pray for the safety on the roads. The goal of this trip is to observe different church that is opened to the world out side of the walls. We are going to help manually as well. And this time is allways good for us mentors to get deeper in to our relationship.

Also pray for our KPM (annual conference for youth leaders) next date is set for 8 april 2010 and our budget is still around 50% not fulfilled. We still has to raise 11500 eur. Well basically the conference is self paid by participants but this amount is to support me as the responsible one and my assistant trough out the whole next year. Please join us to pray for this.

Training at one of the biggest churches in our Country.

This time we have been invited to LEVICE. Some 150 km away from Zilina. Levice free evangelical church has around 400 members. 5 Teams within their structure that leads youth and their teenagers wanted to grow and learn more about how to this work better. 5 of us from TCK decided to go. For me especially it was a great honour to be involved because there I do have a lot of friends.
We have arrived late night on Friday and was welcomed by those few who initiated our visit. On Saturday morning I taught on very personal topic "How can a leader grow." Then Maruska my college did training on "Unity in the team" followed with the "Roles in the team" and finally "Discipleship". Afternoon was the time for 3 seminars: "How to prepare the speech for youth group", "How to evangelize", and "stewardship". In the evening we led the youth group. After the youth meeting we had several great conversations with local youth.
Please pray for Rasto as he seeks for wisdom on how should he be more active in this chruch. He is one of the leaders that I had chance to pray with after the youth group.
On Sunday at church I was asked to help with the worship. What an honour to be standing in front of so many people. Old, young, all the generations present to give Glory to God. What an honour to help leading to the throne of God. The band requested that this should repeat again pretty soon.
Levice people are gifted in hospitality. So you can imagine how tasty and delicious meals we ate.
Sunday afternoon was dedicated to poetic soiree. My college Maruska was reading from her book that was recently published and Dushan and I we have contributed with our own song. Even local TV station came to do some interview with us.
Two days of intensive time came to an and but we pray that all we said and sang and encouraged would continue to grow for the sake of Gods Kingdom in church of LEVICE.
Sitting in my office now while I am writing this I am just realizing that this is what God calls me for. I can not imagine do anything else.

God the Father (second SPM)

This was the main focus in all our lectures at our last School of leaders. It is always amazing to see how these students react and want to know more... What a privilage to do this.
Adopt a youth leader:
We have 21 youth leaders who are participating this year which costs 275 Euros ($400)/student. They and their churches have to raise this amount that includes their travels, housing, food, training materials and mission trip to Romania. However, some need assistance, and I'd like to ask if you'd sponsor one of these youth leaders.
